What is faith? Is it something that comes and goes as the situations in life change? Is it something that people with a big bank account have only? Is it something reserved for clergy or the Bible believers of the old? I declare to you today that FAITH is an action that works within everyone that still has blood pumping through their veins! It’s the ability to picture or visualize something that you can’t really see yet with the natural eye. Faith requires work, because if I believe I can run a marathon but never get up and start training for the run, my faith is no good. Faith grows with practice! Whatever you practice consistently, it by default gets better. In our world today it’s time to tap into some FAITH. Believe by faith for your new job, home, car, spouse, and many other things. Then start working toward your belief! Are you a constant doubter? Has your faith been destroyed? It’s time to stop and take an assessment of your thinking. As a man thinks, so is he.

March comes in with more BAD news about our economy, more job losses and more foreclosures. Stocks are low and the cost of homes are down. But who can afford to take advantage of the low prices? Well most of us do not have the wealth of Warren Buffet or Bill Gates, so we weather the storms and try to make sound decisions in these times of financial woes! Hang in there!

The secret of holiday overspending for people you really don’t even like!! In this time of economic crisis people are still hitting the malls, stores, internet and boutiques buying stuff for people they really don’t even like. Be real with yourself! If you cannot afford to shell out hundreds of dollars on Christmas packages “DON’T”. Secretly each year you do the same thing. Break the cycle! Send a card or telephone them and wish them a Merry Christmas. It’s time to take control of your spending and why not cut the fat now and break the cycle today! Now if you truly love them, consider this “the spirit of Christmas should be celebrated yearlong” Don’t wait for Dec 25th to buy something special. Be spontaneous!

Excerpt from Chapter 1 of my latest book I am writing…. 

Who I am, may not be who others think I am. Who I am is sometimes a secret which lies in between who you know yourself to be and what is exhibited to others outside of your sphere.

Some of us are on a 30 year demonstration, parading ourselves as if our lives are presentations as we pose and put on a show, wearing a mask to conceal the true character.We have carried the same lie so long that if we told the truth, people wouldn’t even believe it. Ever notice how you can buy an onion in the store, pick it up, touch it and even pass it around and not shed one tear? But when you cut it and start peeling off the layers of onion skin, it produces such a strong odor and vapor it causes you to weep. The real me and the real you have issues, which causes tears and pain, and if not discussed or addressed the layers remain covered.

So you were sexually abused or maybe you were the abuser, if it has been 20 years ago why are you still causing it to vex your spirit? Get over it! If forgiveness is what you are waiting for, ask for forgiveness and get up, dust yourself off and focus on your future. Don’t let the past be a hindrance for your future. Don’t wait for Uncle Charles to forgive you for what may have happened decades ago. Uncle Charles may have asked God to forgive Him and God did and Uncle Charles and God forgot it.

So many are feeling the effects of the credit crunch! Is it a secret? No, no, it is not  a secret. The secret is out and it is on Wall Street and even Your Street. This is one secret that shouldn’t be kept. If you are suffering and going under, it’s time to scream out for help and assistance. If Lehman Brothers, WAMU, Fannie Mae and all the hundreds of other big names financial gurus can scream for help, well it’s time for you and I the consumers, and taxpayers to start bellowing.  Your secret needs to be told. Call your creditor, call your bank, call your mortgage company and ASK FOR HELP TODAY.

The generational curse of secrets can be passed down from generation to generation leaving a shroud of secrecy which when once revealed it wreaks havoc and pain. Whatever the secret, it should be talked about so the curse can be broken and dealt with up front and right now. There is a saying, that time heals all wounds, but some wounds get worse if not dealt with in a timely manner. Do you have a Generational Curse upon your family that has been passed down through your parents?

Where does forgiveness start? Does it start with a feeling of sorrow or a heartfelt confession of forgiveness? I believe it starts with both, feeling and a heart of forgiveness. Can anyone forgive but their forgiveness not be received? Yes, but that doesn’t hold the person hostage that have asked for forgiveness. The release occurs when the forgiveness is asked. Only God knows the sincerity of the heart and we cannot reject forgiveness because we cannot judge the heart.

Are we in the middle of a great falling away from the values associated with family and church. What at one time was in the closet or way in the dark is coming up front and center in these days. What is the source of this boldness?  As marriage of men with men and women with women are now approved in some states, is this just the beginning of a new trend? Or is this the last days and our world is looking at the last generation?
