How many have Incarcerated family members? I have some and I bet you do as well. What got some to prisons and other institutions as such are 1 and any number of other reasons.
It is a difficult decision to tell children that a family member, particularly a parent, is incarcerated. Parental shame or fears that your child will think less of the incarcerated family member can interfere with appropriate discussions. While it is ultimately a parent’s or care giver’s decision to inform the children, there are several issues that must be considered. Here are some hints:
If children are not given an answer or a plausible explanation, they may fantasize their own explanation to fill the void. Children may blame themselves and feel that they have done something wrong that contributed to the incarcerated parent being absent.
Children are also smart. While they can be convinced that the incarcerated parent or family member is in the hospital, working for the government, on vacation, or in school, the child may become mistrustful or confused by the discrepancy between what they are told and what they experience. Additionally, it is better for a child to find out that a family member is in prison from a care giver rather than in the school yard or in the media.
What a SECRET for a child to carry. Are you secretly hiding the real reason a family member is not around? Are you married to someone incarcerated? Would you like to share?

What do they look like?
Examples of products kids abuse to get high include model airplane glue, nail polish remover, cleaning fluids, hair spray, gasoline, the propellant in aerosol whipped cream, spray paint, fabric protector, air conditioner fluid (freon), cooking spray and correction fluid.
How are they used?
These products are sniffed, snorted, bagged (fumes inhaled from a plastic bag), or “huffed” (inhalant-soaked rag, sock, or roll of toilet paper in the mouth) to achieve a high. Inhalants are also sniffed directly from the container.
What are their short-term effects?
Within seconds of inhalation, the user experiences intoxication along with other effects similar to those produced by alcohol. Alcohol-like effects may include slurred speech, an inability to coordinate movements, dizziness, confusion and delirium. Nausea and vomiting are other common side effects. In addition, users may experience lightheadedness, hallucinations, and delusions.
What are their long-term effects?
Compulsive use and a mild withdrawal syndrome can occur with long-term inhalant abuse. Additional symptoms exhibited by long-term inhalant abusers include weight loss, muscle weakness, disorientation, inattentiveness, lack of coordination, irritability, and depression.
After heavy use of inhalants, abusers may feel drowsy for several hours and experience a lingering headache. Because intoxication lasts only a few minutes, abusers frequently seek to prolong their high by continuing to inhale repeatedly over the course of several hours. By doing this, abusers can suffer loss of consciousness and death.
Are you a SECRET HUFFER? Think that you are secretly getting high without taking the drugs like Marijuana, Smack, LSD, Barbs, and so on. Your Secret is going to catch-up with you soon. Maybe you are an Adult HUFFING; It’s time to share this SECRET TODAY!

Abuse is Abuse, whether physical or verbal. These TWO combinations of abuse have the ability to staunch the growth of a relationship, whether between a father and daughter, father and son, mother and daughter, mother and son, husband and wife, girlfriend to boyfriend, person to person and so on.
“I’ll never hit you again.” “If you’d just do what I ask, I wouldn’t have to do this.” Maybe you’ve heard these words; maybe you’ve said them. Whichever side you’re on, physical and verbal abuse cause inexpressible damage. The bruises may fade, but the invisible scars last a lifetime. An abuser attacks your emotions, your sense of worth and often, your body. Long after physical scars heal and the argument ends, emotional wounds erode your self-worth. Abusers typically act out of an unchecked need for control, and the people they abuse become imprisoned by manipulation and domination — sometimes even believing they deserve this cruel behavior. Fortunately, there is a way out of abusive patterns both for those addicted to control and those victimized by abuse.
Is this your secret hell you are living with? It’s time to share your Family Secrets or it could have devasting consequences.

Who said what ever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Sometimes the Secrets in a Marriage spill over to the neighborhood, circle of friends, family, workplace, church and yes Hotels with cheating infidelity couples. Why is it we share secrets of marriages with everyone except the spouse in the marriage? Isn’t the Church the place to receive counseling and marital direction when going through serious turmoil? Problem is, some churches can be full of spiritual babies that don’t know how to answer some tough hard in your face questions that some marriages face. Some churches are well equipped to deal with marriage and relational issues, while most lack the foundation and basic structure for sound instructions for couples facing real problems. Telling you to pray and we are praying for you is an easy answer to all marital problems, however they seldom work without getting to the foundation of the Secrets that are occurring in the Marriage.
TWO-YEAR ITCH INFECTS MARRIAGE
COUPLES watching out for the seven-year itch should be on their guard a lot earlier these days. According to research, they are far more likely to separate after about two years of marriage. One in 12 couples is heading for the divorce courts after 24 months - more than double the figure for seven years. From “TWO-YEAR ITCH INFECTS MARRIAGE”
George Barna, president and founder of Barna Research Group, commented:
“While it may be alarming to discover that born again Christians are more likely than others to experience a divorce, that pattern has been in place for quite some time. Even more disturbing, perhaps, is that when those individuals experience a divorce many of them feel their community of faith provides rejection rather than support and healing. But the research also raises questions regarding the effectiveness of how churches minister to families. The ultimate responsibility for a marriage belongs to the husband and wife, but the high incidence of divorce within the Christian community challenges the idea that churches provide truly practical and life-changing support for marriages.”
11% of the adult population is currently divorced.
25% of adults have had at least one divorce during their lifetime.
Divorce rates among conservative Christians were significantly higher than for other faith groups, and much higher than Atheists and the Agnostics experience. (Research done in 2004)
The Secret to a successful Marriage is to minimize the SECRETS. Are you living with a Marital Secret? Do you have a separate Secret Bank Account? Do you have a SECET Lover? Do you have a SECRET obsession? Do you have children that your spouse knows nothing about? Are you married to more than one person? Are you attracted to another person of the SAME SEX as you?
What’s your Secret in your Marriage? Now you can share.

Psalm 141:3
Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Proverbs 4:24
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Proverbs 5:2
That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
Much can be said about keeping your lips sealed, however discretion with the lips/mouth is the message that the Bible speaks about. Words that flow out of the mouth lasts a lifetime. Have someone cursed you with their lips?

On Wednesday, Eliot Spitzer hit bottom. For a man who so often seized the moral high ground, it was an excruciating fall. Clad in his trademark starched white shirt, the governor resigned, sunk by his stunning patronage of a high-end prostitution ring.
